New care home in Thiers

Thiers (63)

Inspired by the shape of a bow tie, this project features two wings connected by a central core. The building has an organic feel, subtly blending a spacious gallery and curved timber-clad volumes. The walkway, lined on one side by an arcade, provides a real outdoor living space. Both an extension of the ‘indoors’ and an interface with the ‘outdoors’, this transitional space encourages informal interactions between residents and allows social relationships to develop as they stroll.
